Dog fighting bites: Help end it in Chicago. January 18, 2008

It’s easy being vegan! pauses for a public service announcement. 

Just this week there was a story in the Chicago Tribune about caged up dogs being rescued from a small house fire where a dog fighting book and treadmill were also found. Dog fighting is happening right here in our own back yards. Let’s end this nasty practice together.

Spotlight Humane: Chicago is a pet charity of mine. (Full disclosure: I am on the fundraising committee.) It’s a fun event that supports a pilot program by the Humane Society of the United States to end dog fighting in Chicago.
